This particular corner of West Wales give access to three counties, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion & Pembrokeshire. Penyrallt Fach Cottage is perfectly situated for visiting the glorious coastline of Cardigan Bay, the Cambrian Mountains and the spectacular scenery of the Pembrokeshire National Park and the Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion sections of the All Wales Coast Path or exploring the beautiful valley of the River Teifi from its source up in the Cambrian Mountains to the estuary at the old port of Cardigan.

As well as superb beaches and the wide open spaces of hills & moorlands there are many wonderful historic sites to visit. The area abounds in ancient sites, burial chambers, forts and superb castles - reminders of Wales’ ancient and turbulent past. There are numerous gardens, museums, National Trust properties, art galleries & the studios of craftspeople of all types well worth visiting. The Gwili Railway near Carmarthen is a must for railway enthusiasts and for sporty types there is the River Teifi with its renowned Canoe Centre in the nearby village of Llandysul. Pony trekking is available in the area and there is even a dry ski-slope at Llangrannog.
