There is a large farmhouse table with seating for 4 and in the sitting-room area there is a sofa and easy chairs. Many books and board-games are provided, also a DAB Radio with iPod dock, TV and a DVD player with a good selection of DVDs. A small complimentary welcome hamper containing organic and fair-trade items, a fresh home-baked cake and flowers from the garden will be on the table on your arrival.
There are two bedrooms which are simply and attractively furnished with a double bed and twin beds respectively, which have been hand-crafted by the owners using timber harvested from the farm's sustainably managed woodlands.
All fuel, electricity, bed-linen & towels are included in the charge. The water supply to the farm and cottage comes from pure, natural springs which rise at the top of the farm. Penyrallt Fach is a no smoking cottage. One well behaved dog is welcome at a charge of £10.
The cottage is set away from the main farmhouse but is within the curtilage of the farm buildings. It is surrounded by a lawn and overlooks a paddock with a large pond.
View from Cottage Lawn. Penyrallt Home Farm is a fully organic working dairy farm certificated with the Soil Association. The farm consists of 140 acres of pasture and woodland set on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Teifi Valley of Carmarthenshire. Visitors are welcome to walk over the farm and see the daily routine of a real working farm which includes the twice-a-day milking of our herd of Ayrshire cows and depending on the time of year, the feeding of calves, lambing and silage or hay-making. Wildlife abounds on the farm. There are resident badgers, foxes and rabbits as well as buzzards, red kites, herons and kingfishers amongst many other species of indigenous British fauna and flora. In the spring and summer many wildflowers and butterflies are to be found in the hedgerows and banks The Teifi Valley is a perfect central area from which to explore the spectacular coastline of Cardigan Bay, There are many superb castles and ancient sites in the area and the cathedral city of St David ’s is within easy reach.
